THIS IS MY STORY
Hi! My name is Shruthi Kumar and I am currently a student at Harvard College. I created this website so I could share with you what I do and how that has made me who I am!
My high school journey was filled with transformation, self-discovery, and inspiration. If you are just entering high school, I hope this website inspires you to create your own story, embrace your interests and passions, and empowers you to break barriers and influence change!
MY HIGHLIGHTS.
THE MOST POWERFUL MOMENTS OF MY LIFE (SO FAR).
Voice of Democracy
I was named the 2019-2020 Voice of Democracy National First Place Winner. My speech was on the theme, "What Makes America Great." I won a $30,000 college scholarship, and I was sponsored by VFW Post 1581 in Omaha, Nebraska. Watch as I delivered my winning speech during the Parade of Winners ceremony at the 2020 VFW Legislative Conference.

The Diana Award is awarded from the Princess Diana Foundation. Their website says that "this year’s Diana Award Recipients represent some of the most inspirational young people from across the UK and around the world. These exceptional young people have demonstrated their ability to inspire and mobilise new generations to serve their communities and create long lasting change on a global scale."
FOUNDER OF GOYOGI LLC
1,800 students and faculty practice mindfulness every morning before starting school. In 2017, I founded a non-profit to raise awareness for the necessity of mental health education in schools. My background and research led me to mindfulness and meditation as tangible solution. I have implemented my mental health education program in several institutions! Read more below!
HIGHLIGHT OF THE PAST: PUBLISHED AUTHOR
My sophomore year, my poetry was published in the Summer 2017 edition of “Creative Communication Celebration of Poets.” The America Library of Poetry published my poem "The IT Girl" in their book of student poetry entitled Treasured. Click the photo to read about it!
